1 Heat Treatment of Die Castings-1
Three stages of heat treatment:
- Solution heat treatment: dissolution of soluble phase
- Quenching: The formation of supersaturated solid solution.
- Aging: Precipitation of solute atoms at room temperature or high temperature.
3 Heat Treatment of Die Castings-3
- T4 high ductility, medium strength
- T5 medium ductility, high strength
- T6 medium ductility high strength
- T7 high ductility medium strength
